Strong Earthquake Hits Venezuela; Tremors Also Reported in Japan and Alaska

A 7.5 magnitude earthquake struck Venezuela this morning in the Yaracuy state’s Yumare town. Earlier, a 7.2 magnitude quake occurred in San Felip town. Several buildings collapsed in the affected areas. A 6.9 magnitude earthquake was also reported in northern Japan. Tremors were felt in Alaska as well.
