Special Campaign 5.0 Legislative Department Achieves Milestones in Record Management and Cleanliness

The Legislative Department successfully concluded the main phase of Special Campaign 5.0 on 31st October 2025. Launched on 2nd October 2025, the campaign focused on enhancing cleanliness, effective record management, and timely disposal of pending matters within the Department. Under the supervision of the Nodal Officer for Special Campaign 5.0, significant progress was made in key areas, including disposal of public grievances, review of older records, and overall office management improvements.

Key Activities Undertaken During the Campaign

  • Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters (SCPDM) implemented in the Legislative Department.
  • Identification of electronic items for e-waste disposal under the campaign.
  • Visits by Legislative Department officials and National Archives of India (NAI) officers to the Digitization Unit.
  • Workshop on E-Waste Management to promote environmental responsibility and workplace sustainability.
  • Emphasis on cleanliness and record management across the Department.
  • Weeding out of old files and records from the Department’s Record Room.
  • Transfer of Gazette of India and State Act volumes to the National Archives of India.
  • Review and progress monitoring by Hon’ble Minister Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal.
  • Successful completion of e-auction of scrap items.
  • Cleanliness drive outside Shastri Bhawan building.
  • Wall painting initiative as a best practice under the campaign.
  • Appraisal and transfer of files and unique records older than 25 years to NAI.
  • Workshop on National Cyber Security organized within the Department.
  • Participation in Run for Unity on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas.
  • Appraisal and stamping of files by NAI officials in the Department.

The Nodal Officer for Special Campaign 5.0 regularly monitored the progress of all activities to ensure timely completion of objectives. The initiatives undertaken during the campaign have significantly contributed to improved efficiency, better record management, and a cleaner, more organized work environment.
