Prime Minister Narendra Modi hails the implementation of the Four Labour Codes as a comprehensive reform for worker empowerment and Ease of Doing Business.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, welcomed the implementation of the Four Labour Codes and described them as one of the most comprehensive and progressive labour-oriented reforms since Independence. He noted that the measures strengthen worker empowerment while simplifying compliance and supporting Ease of Doing Business.

Foundational Framework for Social Security

The Prime Minister stated that the Four Labour Codes will provide a strong basis for universal social security, minimum and timely wage payments, safer workplaces and improved opportunities for people, with specific reference to Nari Shakti and Yuva Shakti.

Future-Ready Labour Ecosystem

Shri Modi said that the reforms are expected to help create a future-ready framework that upholds worker rights and contributes to India’s economic growth. He added that the changes will support job creation, enhance productivity and contribute to the country’s progress towards a Viksit Bharat.

Statements Shared by the Prime Minister

In a series of posts, the Prime Minister said, “Shramev Jayate! Today, our Government has given effect to the Four Labour Codes. It is one of the most comprehensive and progressive labour-oriented reforms since Independence. It greatly empowers our workers. It also significantly simplifies compliance and promotes ‘Ease of Doing Business.’”

He added, “These Codes will serve as a strong foundation for universal social security, minimum and timely payment of wages, safe workplaces and remunerative opportunities for our people, especially Nari Shakti and Yuva Shakti.”

The Prime Minister further stated, “It will build a future-ready ecosystem that protects the rights of workers and strengthens India’s economic growth. These reforms will boost job creation, drive productivity and accelerate our journey towards a Viksit Bharat.”
