The Charaideo district administration has started the land acquisition process for the development of the Sonari-Moran road.
The District Level Land Acquisition Committee has conducted the third phase of the land acquisition proceedings under the Assam Mala project.
The process was carried out along the railway stretch from 25 Gali to the Gaon Panchayat areas including Gajipukhuri and Panchali.
The committee is working to acquire land from villages including Kakatibari Grant, Jorhatia, Lichuchuk, Habi, Budhagaon, and Garkuch.
Officials have collected detailed data including land type, patta numbers, and other required records from the concerned areas.
It was also stated that compensation may be provided soon after completion of verification and approval procedures.
Objections, if any, can be submitted to the chairperson of the District Level Land Acquisition Committee within the stipulated time.
