Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu released two major data-based publications of the Department of Economics and Statistics in Shimla. These include the Statistical Abstract of Himachal Pradesh 2024-25: Data Visualization and the Statistical Year Book 2024-25. Both documents are designed to support evidence-based governance and provide a comprehensive statistical profile of the State.

The Chief Minister stated that reliable and timely data plays a crucial role in shaping effective development strategies. He emphasized that strong statistical systems ensure that growth initiatives benefit citizens across all regions, particularly those living in remote and vulnerable areas. According to him, the State continues to strengthen its approach to planning by using accurate and transparent data inputs.

Secretary (Economics & Statistics) Dr. Abhishek Jain highlighted that the same datasets are also available through the Digital Himachal Portal. Economics Adviser Dr. Vinod Rana explained that the enriched presentation format aims to help administrators, researchers and stakeholders draw meaningful conclusions more efficiently.
