Odisha Chief Minister Highlights Maritime Security and Infrastructure Development at Policy Meeting

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said that the state’s maritime region is not merely a geographical boundary but a gateway to opportunities, prosperity, and international cooperation. He made the remarks while inaugurating the 14th Multi-Agency Maritime Security Group Policy Meeting at Lok Seva Bhavan in Bhubaneswar. The Chief Minister stated that India has emerged as a major maritime power globally, with Odisha playing a significant role in this progress. He also noted that efforts are underway to further strengthen the state’s strategic maritime position through the development of a deep-sea port at Ganjam and the establishment of a shipbuilding cluster near Paradip.
