Community Gathering Highlights Confidence and Participation

In Jaipur district, a series of Nari Chaupal programmes are being organised to encourage dialogue and awareness among women and girls. Under the Sashakt Jaipur campaign combined with the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao plan, the recent gathering took place at the Government Senior Secondary School premises in Hadota, Chomu. Guided by the directives of District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation and interaction.

According to Dr. Rajesh Dogiwal, Deputy Director of the Women Empowerment Department, the presence of Indian Police Service officer Usha Yadav and Indian Administrative Service officer Mrinal Kumar motivated participants to present their skills and cultural expressions. The venue remained lively with folk singing, folk dance, street theatre and self-defence demonstrations. Women also conveyed messages of confidence and dignity through performances themed on perseverance and self-respect. Success stories were shared to inspire self-reliance and determination.

Departments Provide Guidance and On-Spot Support

Representatives from Women and Child Development, Health, Education, Police, Social Justice and other departments interacted directly with attendees. They discussed subjects related to health, safety, education, nutrition, livelihood opportunities and welfare provisions. Support counters were placed at the venue so that women could receive information and assistance immediately.

Pledge for Awareness and Equality

Participants expressed support for the Sashakt Jaipur campaign and took the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao pledge. The nodal officer of the programme, IAS trainee officer Mrinal Kumar, honoured the winners of various activities. The gathering was attended by Sub Divisional Officer Dilip Singh Rathore, departmental officials and local public representatives.

Dr. Dogiwal noted that the purpose of the Nari Chaupal initiative is to strengthen awareness, build confidence and increase access to welfare schemes among women. Through these interactions, focus is placed on improving gender balance, ensuring dignity and safety, and promoting equal opportunities. The initiative is being conducted in a phased manner across all sub-divisions of Jaipur district and is expected to benefit a large number of women directly.
