Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma Emphasizes Timely Completion of Water Supply Projects
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma chaired a review meeting at the Chief Minister’s Office to assess the progress of the Water Resources Department, Command Area Development Department, and Indira Gandhi Canal Department. He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to ensuring uninterrupted water supply for citizens and farmers, directing officials to accelerate the execution of all ongoing drinking water and irrigation projects through regular monitoring.
The Chief Minister noted that the state budgets of the past two years have included several key initiatives to enhance water availability. He instructed departments to expedite work on all pending projects and ensure quality execution within the prescribed timelines.
Focus on Ramjal Setu Link and Yamuna Water Supply Plans
Sharma highlighted that the Ramjal Setu Link Project will play a vital role in providing consistent water supply to a large population. He directed concerned officers to complete all phases of the project as per schedule. He also emphasized the need to advance the plan for supplying Yamuna water to the districts of Sikar, Churu, and Jhunjhunu.
Discussing the Indira Gandhi Canal Project, he instructed officials to ensure that all development works are completed within the set timeframe and with high quality. He added that since the Ganganagar Canal will mark its 100th anniversary in December, a comprehensive plan should be developed for its further improvement and benefit to a larger population.
Review of Key Ongoing Projects
The Chief Minister reviewed the progress of several major projects including the Dewas Phase III and IV Project, Upper High-Level Canal, Rajasthan Water Sector Livelihood Improvement Project, Dam Rehabilitation and Improvement Project, Parwan Multipurpose Irrigation Project, Kaliteer Lift Project, Dholpur Lift Irrigation and Drinking Water Project, and Pumped Storage Projects.
He directed officers to expedite the pending clearances related to forest, environment, and other mandatory approvals, and to finalize NITs, tenders, work orders, and DPRs linked to budget announcements without delay. Water Resources Minister Suresh Singh Rawat and senior officials from the department and Chief Minister’s Office attended the meeting.
RPSC Issues Considered Lists for Physics and Sociology Posts under School Education Recruitment 2024
The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has released the considered lists for the Physics and Sociology subjects under the Professor and Coach (School Education) Competitive Examination 2024. A total of 298 candidates have been provisionally included in the Physics list and 10 candidates in the Sociology list for document verification.
These lists have been published solely for eligibility verification purposes and do not represent final selection or merit lists. The final list of successful candidates will be issued after verification by the concerned department.
Online Form and Verification Process
Provisionally shortlisted candidates are required to fill the detailed online application form through their SSO ID between 18 and 24 November 2025. The form and documents will be verified by the Department of Secondary Education. Candidates must print two copies of the filled form and present them along with original and self-attested documents at the scheduled date and venue to be announced by the department.
Those who fail to appear for document verification on the assigned date will be considered ineligible. Following verification, the list of eligible candidates will be sent back to RPSC for final result processing and appointment recommendations.
103 Candidates Declared Ineligible
Under this recruitment, 103 candidates have been declared ineligible—69 from Physics and 34 from Sociology—for leaving more than 10% of questions unanswered in the exam. Their roll numbers are available on the Commission’s website.
Opportunity for Recalculation of Marks in RAS 2023 Main Exam
RPSC has offered candidates from the Horizontal Reservation Categories (Departmental Employees, Ex-Servicemen, Outstanding Sportspersons, and Divyang Category) who were unsuccessful in the Rajasthan State and Subordinate Services Combined Competitive Examination 2023 Main Exam the opportunity to apply for recalculation of marks. This option is also available to candidates shortlisted for interviews.
The facility will remain open from 17 to 26 November 2025 (midnight) through the link available on the exam dashboard of the Commission’s website. Applicants must pay a fee of ₹25 per question for recalculation. Offline applications or payments will not be accepted. The process is limited to recalculation only and does not include re-evaluation of answer sheets.
It is noteworthy that other unsuccessful candidates, excluding the horizontal categories, were already given the opportunity to apply for mark recalculation between 3 and 12 April 2025.
