Shri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, India – November 8, 2025: To mark 150 years of the composition of the national song “Vande Mataram,” a grand district-level celebration was held in Shri Ganganagar on Saturday under the banner of “Vande Mataram@150.” Food and Civil Supplies Minister and District In-charge Minister Shri Sumit Godara highlighted the historical significance of the national song and the contributions of great personalities associated with it.
Symbol of National Identity and Unity
Addressing the gathering, Shri Godara said that Vande Mataram symbolizes India’s national consciousness and unity. He stated that the district-level celebrations under “Vande Mataram@150” have filled everyone with a strong sense of patriotism and pride. He also emphasized the role of the national song in uniting the nation and remembered the sacrifices of freedom fighters during the independence movement.
He further called upon the people to support the vision of a developed India by adopting swadeshi initiatives, as encouraged by the Prime Minister.
Tributes to Martyrs and Rally Flag-off
Earlier, the District In-charge Minister, along with Sadulshahar MLA Shri Gurveer Barad, District Collector Dr. Manju, Superintendent of Police Dr. Amrita Duhan, former MLA Shri Balveer Luthra, and others paid floral tribute to the martyrs at Bhagat Singh Chowk. The dignitaries then flagged off a patriotic rally.
