GGSIP University Admissions 2025 to Use National Level Tests in Delhi

The Directorate of Higher Education, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, has issued an order permitting Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University to adopt national level entrance examinations as the basis for admissions to specific undergraduate courses from the academic year 2025-2026 onward.

The order has been issued under section 17 read with Clause (g) of section 3 and section 13 of the Delhi Professional Colleges or Institutions (Prohibition of Capitation Fee, Regulation of Admission, Fixation of Non-Exploitative Fee and Other Measures to Ensure Equity and Excellence) Act, 2007 (Delhi Act 08 of 2007).

Adoption of National Level Tests

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University had earlier been designated as the admission agency under this Act on 5 May 2011. The new order allows the university to use national level entrance examinations for the following programmes starting from 2025-2026, along with specified secondary admission channels.

Programmes and Admission Tests

1 JEE – Main 1 B.Tech 131 After exhausting the merit list of JEE Main-1 examination, the university may adopt the score of UG CUET conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission in the B.Tech programme.
2 CLAT-UG Integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) / Integrated B.A. LL.B. & Integrated BBA LL.B. (Hons.) / Integrated BBA LL.B. 121 After exhausting the merit list of CLAT (UG), the university may adopt the score of UG CUET conducted by NTA for admission in the above integrated law programmes.
