Strengthening Bilateral Ties

This ceremony marks the fifth Royal Kathina offering in Bhutan, reflecting Thailand’s ongoing efforts to foster goodwill and people-to-people relations. It follows the State Visit by Their Majesties the King and Queen of Thailand in April 2025 and precedes the 70th Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Jigme Singye Wangchuck, the Fourth Druk Gyalpo of Bhutan, on 11 November 2025.

Thailand’s Cultural Diplomacy

Since 1995, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand has organized annual Royal Kathina Robe presentations at Buddhist temples abroad to strengthen friendship and foster ties through Buddhism.
