Applicants must be between 35 years and 45 years of age as of the first day of July in the calendar year in which the vacancies are advertised. This provision ensures that only experienced professionals are considered for this senior IT role.
Revisions in Service Structure and Pay Scale
In addition to adding the new position, the amendment makes corresponding changes to the numbering and structure of existing posts within the computer section. Serial numbers in several regulations have been renumbered to accommodate the new Deputy Secretary (IT) entry. The pay scale for the newly created post has been fixed at ₹15,600–39,100 with a grade pay of ₹7,600, aligning it with other senior administrative roles in the Commission.
Furthermore, the amendment modifies the heading under regulation 16 to include the new post, making it applicable to the Deputy Secretary (IT), System Analyst, Programmer Grade-1, and Programmer Grade-2. This ensures that the same procedural framework now extends to the new IT leadership role as well.
