President Droupadi Murmu’s Kerala Visit

President Droupadi Murmu arrives in Thiruvananthapuram today for a four-day visit to Kerala. She will participate in various programs during her stay.

President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Thiruvananthapuram via special flight today for her four-day Kerala visit. Governor Arif Mohammed Khan, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, and others welcomed her at the airport. She will visit Sabarimala temple tomorrow for darshan.

Detailed Itinerary

The President will perform darshan at Sabarimala temple tomorrow afternoon. She will arrive at Nilakkal helipad and proceed to Pamba by road. From Pamba Ganapati temple, she will carry the irumudi kettu and travel to the Sannidhanam in a special vehicle to worship Lord Ayyappa. In the evening, she will attend a banquet at Raj Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram hosted by the Governor. On Thursday morning, she will unveil a half-statue of former President Pranab Mukherjee at Raj Bhavan. She will be the chief guest at the centenary celebrations of Sree Narayana Guru’s samadhi at Sivagiri and participate in the platinum jubilee celebrations at Pala St. Thomas College. On Friday, she will attend programs at Ernakulam St. Teresa’s College before returning to Delhi.

Security and Traffic Restrictions

In connection with the President’s visit, security has been tightened across the state. Restrictions will be in place at Sabarimala today and tomorrow. No virtual queue or spot booking darshan for devotees tomorrow. Only 12,500 people are allowed for darshan today. Devotees must descend the hill after afternoon from the Sannidhanam. Traffic restrictions in Thiruvananthapuram city today from 2 PM to 8 PM. Tomorrow from 6 AM to 10 PM, and the day after from 6 AM to 12:30 PM. No vehicle parking allowed on main and side roads.
